The Fall River Valley is situated 70 miles from Redding off  I-5 on Highway 299E.  Nestled between the Sierra Nevada and the Cascade mountain ranges in the northeast corner of Shasta County is one of the more picturesque and unspoiled areas remaining in California.  It is here you will find the communities of Fall River Mills & McArthur offering a complete range of business services, but an away-from-it-all atmosphere, with Burney only 16 miles away.  Winding through approximately 100-miles of prime agricultural land are three lakes, three rivers, and eighty miles of inland waterways.
Our lush valley, surrounded by National Forest land, is enhanced by Mt. Lassen  to the southeast and by majestic, snow-capped Mt. Shasta to the northwest.  Highway 89, which intersects Highway 299, allows easy travel  to both mountain areas, or  to Highway 44 for a scenic drive to Reno.

CLIMATE-- At 3,400 feet elevation, the valley has a mild climate. Winters are not usually severe & temperatures average from 18 degrees in early morning to 40-50 degrees midday.  Summer temperatures range average from 55 degrees early morning to 90 degrees midday
